Welcome!

Hi! I’m Karen. It’s been my privilege for many years to work with early-career professionals and students as they discover their strengths and explore career direction. I have witnessed transformations as formerly tentative job seekers step into their dream jobs and find personal success as valued contributors and leaders.

The job search process can be overwhelming. I have seen in myself and in others that the attributes that make excellent students often differ from the skills needed as job seekers, team members, and leaders. My experience and collaborative coaching skills combine with customized support to offer my clients a unique edge to gain self-awareness and achieve goals.

I interviewed, hired, and led individuals for almost thirty years, from interns to seasoned professionals. As an engineer and leader in a Fortune 50 company, I coached my direct reports and others on career development plans and helped coordinate and explore options for their subsequent assignments. Since retiring, I became a certified Career and Leadership Coach to focus on my favorite aspect of that rewarding career. I love seeing my clients succeed!

As a former hiring manager, I know what employers seek in candidates and what can help set you apart. By keeping up with the latest innovations, I help clients navigate the ever-evolving job search process, including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, networking, interviewing, and job search strategy.

Coaching Training and Certifications

I’m a member and Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, a graduate of the Rice University CoachRICE Leadership Coaching Certification program, and a Certified Career Coach and Resume Writer through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches. I’m also a Certified Coach for EQi emotional intelligence assessment.
